Just one more picture of that yummy S'mores!!
There were so many people today, everywhere, doing all kinda fun things. There was a lot of food, but i still am a hamburger girl, especially cooked on the grill. Although the mac and cheese sure looked good..i dont like celery.
In crafts i made a paper frog, oh my goodness you should have heard all the moans and groans and paper rattling. It is OrreyGamie. I know how to make a hat and a drinking cup too

Boat Maintenance
I am an LSU TIGER FAN!!! we painted my boat in LSU colors and then Mrs Judipatootie added a ferocious Tiger.. his name is MIKE, he weighs 465 lbs, has a 2 million dollar compound all his own and a private trainer, caretaker. He is a beautiful tiger
Goodness it was heavy, one of the Scouts from the other camp offered to help me get it back to the lake. We got the giggles and almost dropped it.
oops, I don't know how to erase this photo..it jumped out of place
My Boat Maintenance Badge is completed. I sanded it first, sealed it , then painted it purple and lightly sanded it again and sealed it,. The stripe and registration numbers , name and LSU Tiger were added to the back
There aren't any barnacles yet, but I will check for them.

Look ! the sky is falling, ..just kidding, but it was getting cloudy
This pond under the swamp willows is covered in green algae, i DIDN'T get in it at all. There were some frogs and a long legged bird.I think its called a regret?
This is definitely FLORA the berries looked good,. but I know not to eat something unless I am positive its safe .

I think that lump was a baby alligator..but it might possibly be a log.
These rocks were nice to sit on, they were in the sun and they were warm. There were lots of bugs rustling in the leaves.
I hiked almost two miles , there is a path marked through the woods. I had my compass and water bottle. I put on some mosquito pellants before I left. they really bite . I wondered if there could be buried treasure, but figured since it was a marked trail .. well, I think I know a place to look but I am NOT saying so here Treasures are secrets and this writing is not secret,
My boat maintenance is done, the painting is finished, I am waiting for someone to help me get it back to the lake.

I can tie knots
This is a chart of signs that you leave when you are exploring. it's like making a map, so someone can follow..or find you if you get lost.
I think I have most of what I need except my FirstAid kit. My camo hat is to wear when I sneak up on "FAUNA", my canteen has clean water, small water bottle has some water with lectric lights ..electro..good for you water when your body gets worn out. Both of the lanterns have fresh batteries and the picnic basket is full of MRES.

SueAnna visits RAC Camp
I am so excited! I was invited to the First Ever Rear Admiral Clare RAC camp for children of the Members of the Bleuette Sewing Club. RandaJo may join me for a few days, but she is at Church Camp being a counselor right now. Maman is driving me there.
We all have to wear the same uniform, it came in the mail as a kit. So i am leaning how to sew (That's a badge I earned) the fun part was making the fringe on the neckerchief.

Maman and I drove through the mountains to the Camp in the convertible. She let me take a picture while I was driving( Not really, it just looks like I am)
Just as I was setting up the tent a huge rain storm belted me! I was soaking wet and my clothes are still in the car down the road, so I had to wear my neckscarf, I think its a sarong( That may be another badge for thinking outside the box), but definitely a badge for setting up a tent all by myself
My lantern works, and I am ready to go to sleep. Its my first night here and i set up real close to the counselors so I wont be afraid. My cousin may come tomorrow. In the mean time I have my teddy bear and my blanket, so I wont be afraid. Did I say that already?
Don't you love my purple boat? Now that I am sure it wont sink, I am going to paint it in LSU Purple and Gold colors. This is a big lake, I'm glad I know how to swim.

ARTS and CRAFTS Badge Project
This is how the chest looked, it was a jewelery box, the table a candle holder and painted wooden bench, The hats and purses were made from the plastic shopping bags
The Chest was a thrift store find last week during the PITY POUTING PARTY with the BleuetteSewingClub ..

First we sanded off all the original finish, then spray painted with pink enamel. The trim is Craft Acrylic paint(We like that checkered look, like MacKensie Childs furniture. The drawer fronts were painted blue and some build up like carving was done in thick paint, We antiqued the whole thing with rubbed on thin acrylic paint after all the gold trim was done with a paint pen .The knobs were rubbed with white paint , then s dab of thin brown..
