I can tie knots

This is a chart of signs that you leave when you are exploring. it's like making a map, so someone can follow..or find you if you get lost.
I think I have most of what I need except my FirstAid kit. My camo hat is to wear when I sneak up on "FAUNA", my canteen has clean water, small water bottle has some water with lectric lights ..electro..good for you water when your body gets worn out. Both of the lanterns have fresh batteries and the picnic basket is full of MRES.

AH!! This is FLORA..so now I know what to look for. I got this chart out of my Cadette Source Book.

I had to learn to tie a good strong knot so i could tether my boat at the lake. If I didn't secure my boat it would drift off into the lake. I can tie a strong square knot.
I am working on my boat in dry dock, painting it in LSU colors.

Part of Flora and auna Badge ,,sorta!

Have you ever seen a sweeter Flamingo? Probably not many around here, this one followed me back to the campground this morning..i looked on my Flora and Fauna chart, but didnt see one. My chart has helped me a lot to understand how to find things for my Flora and Fauna Badge

Note: The wonderful Flamingo was mae for me by Ellen Haytas, a marvel of sewing.. iam so impressed, she also made two Fripons for me.

SueAnna visits RAC Camp

I am so excited! I was invited to the First Ever Rear Admiral Clare RAC camp for children of the Members of the Bleuette Sewing Club. RandaJo may join me for a few days, but she is at Church Camp being a counselor right now. Maman is driving me there.

We all have to wear the same uniform, it came in the mail as a kit. So i am leaning how to sew (That's a badge I earned) the fun part was making the fringe on the neckerchief.

Maman and I drove through the mountains to the Camp in the convertible. She let me take a picture while I was driving( Not really, it just looks like I am)

Just as I was setting up the tent a huge rain storm belted me! I was soaking wet and my clothes are still in the car down the road, so I had to wear my neckscarf, I think its a sarong( That may be another badge for thinking outside the box), but definitely a badge for setting up a tent all by myself

My lantern works, and I am ready to go to sleep. Its my first night here and i set up real close to the counselors so I wont be afraid. My cousin may come tomorrow. In the mean time I have my teddy bear and my blanket, so I wont be afraid. Did I say that already?

Don't you love my purple boat? Now that I am sure it wont sink, I am going to paint it in LSU Purple and Gold colors. This is a big lake, I'm glad I know how to swim.

Isn't my red hair pretty in the sunshine?

I wasnt sure what to do with my bathing suit, I want to make sure it was fry so I can swim in the morning and its not fun putting on a cold wet suit . I was so late coming in from the lake I missed Supper call, everyone has gone . Hee Hee, i'm nekkid!!

I'll hurry and do a swishy swashy and get dressed and run like heck to meet everyone. Its getting dark. I'm not afraid. I have a whistle.

ARTS and CRAFTS Badge Project

This is how the chest looked, it was a jewelery box, the table a candle holder and painted wooden bench, The hats and purses were made from the plastic shopping bags
The Chest was a thrift store find last week during the PITY POUTING PARTY with the BleuetteSewingClub ..

First we sanded off all the original finish, then spray painted with pink enamel. The trim is Craft Acrylic paint(We like that checkered look, like MacKensie Childs furniture. The drawer fronts were painted blue and some build up like carving was done in thick paint, We antiqued the whole thing with rubbed on thin acrylic paint after all the gold trim was done with a paint pen .The knobs were rubbed with white paint , then s dab of thin brown..

we think the top looks like pink marble..its all acrylic paint thinned down with lots of water
Next post we wiil show you how we redid the bench and table for the patio

Cadet Scout Camille Darbonne, Troop Swampcritters
Camille did most of the painting, Ms JudiPatootie oversaw the project since you have to be 18 to buy spray paint.

TENNIS!! anyone??

RandaJo is a Junior Olympics hopeful.. she is in the semi-finals for Junior Doubles.. so cheer her on please!!

One of our Cadet Scout badges is SPORTS>> I am participating in Junior Olympics Tennis Doubles and doing really well. I practice everyday for 2 hours when it isnt too hot here in South Louisiana. When the heat index is 105 they wont let us onto the courts. Its a good thing, or I'd have to learn First Aid for Yourself !! My neat AllStar Red White and Blue tennis dress was made by my Mom(Judipatootie) Its all cotton and really comfortable. my new shoes help a lot.. my heels were hurting .

I am so excited, i have a chance to get a spot on the USA Junior Olympics Junior Tennis Team.. I can hardly sleep at night.

Welcome Callienette

It's so exciting to have a new Family member.. Callienette arrived several days ago from Vermont. Then yesterday our favorite Oklahoman came to spend the Memorial Day Holiday.. what excitement

Callienette is called "Nettie"('cause we already have a Calliope called Calli) She was created by Magalie Houle Dawson in Vermont. Mrs Magalie is one of our favorite doll designers, we have several of her outfits.

Our Friend Lynn is from Oklahoma and he is a Cherokee, and he is so gorgeous with his big ice bleu eyes. Nettie was so nervous about sitting on the hood of his big white Dodge truck, its enormous( even to a big person like JudiPatootie!) it was fun though, posing on the back bumper with the Cherokee Nation License plate. We have studied about the Removal of the Cherokee Nation from The Carolinas , and read "The trail of Tears"

Our front yard has a lot of daylilies bloomimg, we have been helping . We water them a lot, because we havent had much rain.We hope to earn our Gardening Badge soon.

S'more S'monkey business!! SueAnna(Back to her original name) has had a tough time during her brief life..first LilyBug bit her fingers off, then i broker her other arm off ..she was ready for adoption due to dollabuse.
